U-Kiss is a Hit

March 28, 2010

A few weeks ago, 4minute went to the Philippines and judging from the fancams, they were a hit. Right now, U-Kiss is trying to the the same thing and it seems like the reception is warm. Better than 4minute even. Well, that’s to be expected. Fan girls will always be crazier than fan boys.

I’ve became a fan of U-Kiss when they release their “Without You” song online. Though SooHyun and Kevin does most of the singing with Kibum as support and Alexander and Eli doing the rap, I think they are one of the most underrated idols right now. Along with After School. Those who dominate the kpop scene comes from the 4 giant companies. JYP, SM, YG and DSP. Only a few actually makes it outside that 4 companies. Brown Eyed Girls and T-ara are one of those few.

It seems like Philippines have jumped into the Kpop bandwagon. To be honest, I never really imagined Filipinos to take in Korean Pop as well as they have. I mean, among the Asian countries, the Philippines closely resembles the American’s taste in music. And Kpop is no American music,

If the Filipinos are receiving 4minute and U-Kiss this warmly, what more if 2NE1 and Wonder Girls came to that country. I can only imagine the chaos that would occur. I was in the Philippines a year ago for some family event. Everywhere I go I hear 2NE1’s “Fire” and Wonder Girls’ “Nobody”. The Korean and English version.

Anyway, here are some of fancams of U-Kiss’ mall shows. I heard they will have another one later in the day. Just browse the uploader for more of their fancams. I also congratulate them for singing live. 4minute lip-synched.
