The lack of SM Entertainment artist is obvious on Mnet. I wonder if they will ever patch things up. In my opinion, SM should start allowing their artists back on Mnet. Mnet has always been open for SM’s artists to promote again, it’s just that SM do not want it. If you browse back on the SM-Mnet thing, it started with SNSD’s lack of music show wins, though Gee was spreading like wildfire. I mean this is the main argument that SM announced for their pulling out everything SM Entertainment in Mnet. If SNSD didn’t win, then it would be a problem for Mnet isn’t it? People will be doubting the ranking credibility of the company. But with SM’s pull-out, it gave out a negative vibe on SM. It does seem like what all SM wants are awards.

  1. I thought the reason started with SME rejection to let MNET distributed SME music. Then, CJ, the company that own MNET, tried to do hostile takeover of SME. (It’s in Allkpop which I believe there’s a ring of truth there.) If I was the CEO of SME, after such hostile attempted, I’ll definitely cut my relationship with MNET to protect my company from further takeover’s attempt.
